Being an Online Business Person is About Choices

Being An Online Business Person is About Choices

-We all have to decide how we are going to fail.. by not going far enough or by going too far.-Sumner Redstone

Everything that we achieve or do not achieve comes down to one thing and that is the choices that we make. Do we get out of bed today or stay there. Do we go to work or go and hang out somewhere? Do we try again when we have failed or do we give up.

There are any number of choices that we make each and every day of our lives that will affect how we live for months or years to come. Choices are what business is really all about.

Some believe that success is a matter of luck. These people have no idea of what it really takes to be a success. It really comes down to the chances that we take and the choices that we make.

The easiest choice that most people make is to stand pat, to stay where they are and continue to do what they are doing. Hoping in the back of their mind that some how some way it will turn around on its own. I made a choice to create this blog. You made a choice to come here and read it today. This choice can have no impact on your life or a grand impact if you decide to make a second choice. To act on one of the suggestions that you find here. To alter the way that you have done business. To try something like email marketing or to build your own website. I have two websites and by this time next year I hope to have ten of them. Why? Because I like to pile more things on my plate? No. It is because they generate income. They make money and I wish to make more money. I wish to grow and expand my business in every area that I can. Perhaps you wish to do the same thing.

Perhaps you are just starting out and are struggling with the right way to turn?

That way will be a choice that only you can make. I can suggest possible choices, but in the end you will be the one making those choices and I suggest that you keep making those choices. The more you make, the easier it will be to make the next one. Becoming a great online business person is not gonna happen overnight, but is there any field of endeavor
that you can think of where it happens overnight. Good luck with your online business, remember to stumble us on stumbleupon, add us to your google plus and get back to work.

Effort Pays Off

-You have to put in many, many, many tiny efforts that nobody sees or appreciates before you achieve anything worthwhile. Brian Tracy -

How many times have you attempted some new way of conducting business online only to watch it fall short of what you had in mind?

Did you give up or did you take that as a lesson well learned and try something new?

The funny thing is that people who are successful at business get this and those who fail never will understand it. Whether you make it or not does not depend upon luck. It does not depend upon learning some well kept secret that you must pay 29.99 to learn. It depends upon your willingness to get up early each day and to work hard. It depends upon you ability to accept the small steps you take each and every day as progress.

Sure you are your harshest critic and you should be, but you will have to be your number one cheerleader.  There are days where this site generates a great deal from the ads that run here and then there are days when it makes only a cent or two. I celebrate what ever money my blogs and websites generate keeping in mind always that no one has ever gone broke by turning a profit ever day. You will find that even though you take small steps your business grows week by week and month by month. What it takes days to generate now will in time take only hours or minutes. Keep working hard and you will see results.

Good luck and get back to work.

Your Online Business, What is it?

            Your Business, What is It?

The trick is in what one emphasizes. We either make ourselves miserable, or we make ourselves strong. The amount of work is the same. – Carlos Castaneda

If your online business has not been booming perhaps it comes down to what you are selling. I do not mean your product line, but the products in that line that you are pushing. I have over seventy possible affiliates that I can market and for the longest time I was not getting much in the way of a return from them. It was not because they did not offer quality services it was just that I needed to match the right affiliate with the right site. I needed to introduce that affiliate in a certain way to my visiting customers. Once I figured out how to do this I began to see some real returns.

For instance, this is a business blog. It is about being a better online business person. I had to find out what areas that my visiting customers needed help in the most and introduce that help without seeming as if I was trying to force it upon them. Also the affiliate had to be truly useful to my visitors. If I wrote a post about an email marketing service then it had to be one that is worth the price that it would cost my customer to purchase that service or I would hear about it later.

You will go through trial and error where it comes to finding the item and or items. The service and or services that will make your business grow. You are going to have to figure out over time what to emphasize. If you find that one thing then the sky could be the limit.

Good luck with your business. Take a moment to stumble us on stumbleupon and to add us to your google plus. Okay, I guess that it is time to get back to work.

Starting your Business

                Starting Your Business

    - “All the adversity I've had in my life, all my troubles and obstacles, have strengthened me... You may not realize it when it happens, but a kick in the teeth may be the best thing in the world for you.”- Walt Disney.

After a long day of job hunting, filling out applications and pounding the payment I decided that the only person who would ever really appreciate what I had to offer as an employee would be me.

Maybe this sounds familiar to many of you who have or wish to start your own business.  Many small businesses are started out of frustration. We are usually frustrated with the job that we have or the fact that we do not have a job at all. This was the reason I started to work online. I started like many of you have, by working first at Amazon or Ebay. I did that for a while and while I was doing it I believed that this would be the end of the line. I had found my home and would earn a living there. Very soon I realized that I was still working for someone else. They were not actually signing my paycheck, but they were still in charge of my future. This was when I decide to start my own online business.

Having you own business is the best kind of freedom you will ever know. During the good times you will know who is responsible and during the bad times you will know who is to blame. Running your own business is not going to be easy, but nothing worth doing is ever easy.
If you have not gotten started yet there are many resources available to aid you with becoming the best online business person that you can. Click here  for a link to my website where you will find many tutorials on the basics of building your own site.

The Online Business Person, What's Your Line

Online Business Person, What’s Your Line

-I  believe the true road to preeminent success in any line is to make yourself master of that line. - Andrew Carnegie

What is your line of work?

What type of online business person are you?

    Do you know?

If so do you know it well enough to be considered an expert at that particular line of business?.

I have run an online retail store for over five years. I would consider myself an expert at running and building this type of business. I find myself unable to shut up when asked questions about selling on Amazon or Ebay. I did it until I decided their fee structure was too much to pay for the cost of doing business and moved on to building my own websites.  That said I understand the rules of those sites so well now that I can teach in less than an hour anyone how to become a powerseller. How to make a few thousand a month on Ebay. How to and when to set the best price to sell items on Amazon.

In a way that all feels like another life, but it was not so long ago. I became an expert at selling things and the next logical step was to do that for myself. To take all the risk and reap all of the rewards. My question for you is “What are you an expert at?” If you market plumbing supplies, do you know this line inside and out? If you sell office chairs can you answer any and all questions without reaching for a manual?

The better that you know your line the more money that your online business is likely to generate. If your business is not doing well perhaps it is because you have not mastered your line of work.

Take some time and consider this. It is not the end of the world if you are not an expert at what you do. You have time. You can learn or you can switch to something that you know better. The first business that you design or build does not have to be the last. The worst thing that can possibly happen is that, due to success, you get stuck in a line of business that you do not enjoy and do not know very well. You will eventually get bored, angry or quit.

Okay, that is it for this post. I would like to thank you guys for sticking around and coming back again and again. The blog is growing at such a rate that I would like to offer an invitation to those of you who wish to write a guest post. There are some of you who may think that I am wrong about something. There are others who have a topic that they wish to share, but do not have time to run a blog themselves. The guidelines are simple, 200 to 1,000 words on any business related subject. Just leave a comment that you wish to offer a post and I will contact you.

Okay guys, time to get back to work.

Doing online Business, A People Skill

Doing Better Business Online, A People Skill

People do not like to buy from strangers.

We are all strangers the first time that we do a deal or make a sale, but that does not mean that you should remain so with your customers. We refer to them as our customers for a reason. On some level we hope that they will give us repeat business. If we have provided a quality good and or serves then we should expect them to return to our online store or online business.

How do we insure that this will happen is an almost impossible question. Even if we have done everything well the majority of customers will be one and done., but we should try to hold on to those that we can.

What are the best ways to hold on to a new customer?

Well the first one has been mentioned. Provide a great product and or service. Give them a reason to what to come back. The next way is to identify who they are. I ran a online store for almost four years before someone suggested to me that I should keep track of and in contact with all those whom have purchased from my store. This should have occurred to be sooner. There had been many times when a returning customer had said that my products were the best and arrived quickly. That they loved how I did business and they had decided to do business with me again. I filed that information away in the back of my mind and then forgot about it. I could have been list building. I could have been developing contacts that would be with me for the life of my business.

I had not notice that the wholesalers that I dealt with had been doing just that. At least twice a week I receive an offer or just a simple message from them. No matter what we say to other we all enjoy the idea that someone is thinking about us. That we have made a mark and are remembered. The thing is that when it came time for me to make more wholesale purchases you know who I went to first? The ones whom had kept in contact. Even if there prices were slightly higher than their competition. They knew me and I had grown to trust them for no other reason than they had provided quality services and they had stayed in contact with me even when I was not buying from them.

You can and should do the same thing.

The first way that you do this is to build list and if you can not do this or do not have the time there are services online that can do this for a small cost. I know that you hate to spend money. I hate it even more than you do, but sometimes it is worth it. If that money comes back to you ten times or twenty times over then it is a good investment. You are most likely reading this because you found my site while searching the web. I have invested a great deal in SEO and so far it is paying off very well.  I do not like spending the money, but by having someone else do SEO for me it frees me up to build new websites and to improve my existing sites. It gives me time to spend with my family. No matter how charming and lovable we believe that we are no one likes to spent time with someone who works 14 - 18 hours a day. When they are not working all that they can talk about is work. The work that they just did and the work that they left undone.

Purchase a little help when you can. I am not saying to throw money at a problem or a weakness, but even the fortune five hundred companies know when to out source the work.

My advice today is to out source your email and list building. I will recommend a company. They have a nice trial offer. If you do not like them then I suggest you look around online and try a few different ones. It is okay. You get to try a few different services. Most of them offer free trials or your money back if you cancel after a certain amount of time.

Online Business, Forcast

                The Online Business Person, Forecasting

There will be those who will forever claim to know what the future holds.

They will make projections and forecast of what will happen to your online business next week, next month and next year. There are businesses that pay millions of dollars a year to dozens of people who do nothing but forecast the future. I am not saying that this is a total waste of time, but I do believe that too much time can be spend on worrying about the future.

There is the old saying that the future will take care of itself. I do not believe that either. If you do not plan for tomorrow it will overtake you. The advice that I am trying to offer to you today is that forecast are just a fancy way of saying this is my prediction. The word prediction conjures up images of an old gypsy sitting in front of a crystal ball. “I predict that you will meet a tall dark stranger who will tell you not to believe in predictions.”

When I hear about forecast I think of weather men and women who tell us that it might rain tomorrow. It will be partly cloudy or partly sunny. There is a chance of rain. There will be one to twelve inches of snow this weekend.

In other words we do not know.

Is it any different in the world of business?

Your online business and how it will grow and change over the next weeks, months and years is all within your own power. If you want a prediction that will come true I can give you one.

If you work harder than the competition. If you improve in the areas where you are weak. If you play to the areas where you are strong. If you identify who your customers are and develop a relationship with each of them. If you do all of these things then I promise you that your business will grow and your profits will grow.
Getresponse AutoResponder

The best forecaster that you will ever meet is the person looking back at you from the mirror. You will know each day if you have trusted yourself, if you have worked hard, if you have done all of the little things to make your online business a success. You do not need complicated formulas and charts to tell you if you are doing what it takes to get ahead or not.

The Online Business Person, About Survival

The Online Business Person, About Survival

-In the struggle for survival, the fittest win out at the expense of their rivals because they succeed in adapting themselves best to their environment.- Charles Darwin.

What is the business environment that your online business functions within?
    Who else occupies this environment?
    How big are they?
How many traits do they share with your online business?
If you do not ask your self these questions often then what type of online business person are your?
My personal response to this last question is that you are the type of online business person who is in danger of being overtaken and or eliminated by the competition you are unaware of.
To know who else occupies your market space is to develop an important survival skill. Perhaps the most important survival skill.

So do your research carefully and identify whom it is that you are competing with. This may take time, but it takes time to run a successful business.  After all the survival of your business may depend upon this research.
Once you have found out who your strongest competitors are then the next step is finding ways to outshine them. To reach out to their customer base and use that base to grow your own business. You can do this through marketing or undercutting their prices.
    “That’s not fair.”
Really? Think that over for a while and tell me that it is not fair again after it has been done to you a few dozen times. All is fair in love, war and business. It is in the end not about being fair or being liked, but about survival. Your business must survive because you depend upon it. Your family depends upon it. It has to be the most important thing to you. Each and everyday do not think only about thriving, but about surviving as well.
Okay, that is it for today. Remember to stumble us on stumbleupon to tumble us on tumbler and to tell a friend.

The Online Business Person, Little Things

            Online Business, Those Little Things

-“Paying attention to simple little things that most men neglect makes a few men rich.”- Henry Ford

Let’s talk about the little thing that can become a big thing if you allow it. That thing is doubt. Do not allow doubt to grow into something that needs to be managed. It will always be in the room, this does not mean that you have to give it a seat at the table and offer it three square meals a day. Put doubt into its proper place.

Yes you could fail. I will take it a step further. Yes you will fail from time to time. It is going to happen. You do not dwell on it. It is part of business. Only politicians can point backwards at a long career and find no fault or failure. You and I live in the real world and not one made of spin. We accept this fact and move on. It is a little thing. Do not allow it to become a big thing.

    Next up is money.

“What? Did you say money? Money is not a little thing.”

Yes I am calling money a little thing. If it becomes the begin all and end all of our daily lives I can promise you that you will be worrying about it for the rest of your life. Too many business people make money the target.

    “But money is my target.”

If it is I would suggest finding a new dart board. Success should be your goal. Money will follow if you are successful at every other aspect of your business.  Picture for me a big pot on a stove top. There is steam rising from the pot. What does this steam tell you? That the water is hot? That it is bubbling and something may be cooking inside. Look at money in the same way that you look at that steam. That steam tells you that the pot is cooking. Money or cash flow tells you that your business is running and running well enough to produce it.

Steam is a by product as is money. That steam is a little thing. Who ever is cooking sees the steam as an indicator that what is inside the pot is cooking. I repeat it is an indicator. Money is an indicator of the fact that what ever your business is doing it is doing it well. The better your business runs then the more money it will produce. A well made online business should produce money in a manor that seems almost automatic.  Morning, noon and in the middle of the night that business should be producing money. You need to focus on building a business in a way that it can not help but produce money even when you are not tending to it in the same way that pot can not help, but produce steam whether it is being tended to or not.

The lesson for today is that if you concentrate on money your business will get neglected and it will not produce much if any money. While if you focus on building a really strong online business it can not help, but deliver money to you.

Okay that is going to be it for today. I would like to remind you guys that it is my advertisers that keep this site going. Just by checking out what ever they are offering (no need to buy anything) we still make money. That is the business model of a blog. While if a visitor actually signs up for an offer or better still buys something from those advertisers we make even more money. If this Blog goes past a certain number of daily visitors it makes money. Pennies a day from number of visitors, but one of my favorite sayings is “No one has ever gone broke by always taking a profit.”

That is all, please add us to your google plus and tell a friend about this site. Have a nice day and I think that it is time to get back to work.

Running an Online Business Part 1

The Online Business Person, Sales Part 1

-“Every sale has five basic obstacles: no need, no money, no hurry, no desire, no trust.”-

Running an online business is sometimes like running the hurdles. There will always be something in the way of your success. Are you willing to let it stand in your way or do you push forward anyway?

Let’s look at these obstacles, these hurdles.

Your customer has no money or not enough to make a sale possible. That is okay, this happens all the time. You should not allow a possible customer to walk away without making a connection that can be accessed at a later time when a sale can be achieved. Treat them as if they are just as valuable as the customer who is prepared to make a purchase today. In many way they are. They are part of your future customer base. Get to know as much about them as you can. Get their names and email addresses so that you can maintain contact. So that you can send them future offers. If people feel welcome. If they feel valued they will eventually do business with you or recommend you to others.

Again being a successful business person is the art of establishing and maintaining relationships.

“What if they do not need what my business offers?”

Most people do not believe that they need insurance or will ever need insurance until the need has burned their home down. Human nature is to avoid acknowledging the need for anything. How hard is it to ask for directions even when you know that you are lost?

Part of being a good business person is the art of convincing customers that they are human. That they are unaware of a need. That our product, goods or services are something that would make their lives easier or their businesses more profitable.

    Sounds tough?

It is, but it is also part of the job we do. This is a skill that can be learned. It may take time, but if you focus on it day after day you will get better at it.

    This concludes part one.

Remember to stumble us on stumble upon and add us to your google plus. Okay, time to get back to work.

A Online Business Needs To Grow

-You will miss one hundred percent of the shots that you never take,-Wayne Gretsky

How many times during any given day or week that you are presented with a chance to try something new? To do something new? To learn a new way to do business or to grow your business? How often have to dismissed those opportunities?

    Not now.

    Not today.

Maybe I will revisit later. Later has yet to arrive. The job of being an online business person is not just to hold on to what ever territory that you have carved out for yourself, but to grow and expand. You can always tell the difference between something that is living and something that is dead. The dead thing is laying still.

If you are not fine tuning or adding new things to the way you conduct business you are dying as a business.

“But business has been good this year. I made more than last year.”

    Really?

Do you know who your competition is?

Do you know who is chasing you? Who is trying to cut into your territory? Who is trying to pick up your customers?

Do you even know who your customers are?

I am here today to suggest to you that you try something new each week. Try one new thing each week. Once a week. Four times a month is a good start. Not that difficult to do at all. My advice to you the online business person is if you do not know who your customers are you get to know them. It is one thing to sell to someone or to provide a service. It is another thing all together to know them. You do not have to become friends with them, but you should know more about them. Familiarity breeds loyalty. People are much for likely to loyal to a business where they are well know. Do you feel more comfortable at a restaurant where you are just a customer or where the own says hi and the servers know you favorites?

Use social media to get to know them better. To make them feel comfortable as your customers and the best part is that if they grow to like you and appreciate the services you provide they will recommend you to others. Your customers will grow your customer base.

Okay guys that is it for today. Remember to stumble us on stumble upon and to tell a friend about this site.

Your Great Enterprise

Online Business Person, The Great Enterprise
“The entrepreneur builds an enterprise; the technician builds a job.” Michael Gerber

What are you looking to do? Is this business of your’s nothing more than a job? If it is you can earn a living. You might even be able to put some money aside for a rainy day, but I doubt if it will every transport you to a new and better life. For that you need more than just a business that provides a job. For that you need a business that functions as an enterprise.

The business model that you have selected will indicate what the over all goal is. This business of yours, was it designed to produces enough steady income to meet your day to day needs. To pay a few bills? To keep a roof over your head and nothing more?

If that is what you have done then you have created a job for yourself. Do not feel bad. Millions of people would love to be able to do what you have done. To be their own boss and generate income for themselves.

If what you have created is more than that. If it demands much more effort at times while offering greater rewards both financially and emotionally then you are engaged in an enterprise. Where will this enterprise take you? No one, not even you, knows for sure. But the one thing that you must understand is that you will not look back on this enterprise as a waste of time. You will not wake up ten years from now cursing yourself that you took a grand chance and maybe it did not turn out the way that you hoped. Soldiers talk as much about the battles that they lost and those that they won. They do this for an obvious reason. They tried to do something remarkable. Their enterprise may not have panned out, but it was am amazing run for how ever long it lasted.

Your online business is either going to be a job or a great enterprise undertaken by an entrepreneur. Who are you? What are your goals in the end? Define those goals and pursue them with all that you have.

Okay, that is it for today. Remember to add us to your google plus, tell a friend and stumble us on stumble upon. Thank you for checking in.

Have a great day and get back to work.

Love Your Online Business

              Love Your Online Business

“It is more fun to be a pirate than to join the navy.”

I believe that Steve Jobs said that. Who ever said it had it right. It is more fun to be the one who creates their own destiny rather than being the one who is controlled by it. As long as you run your online business your way you are in control of your fate. You will be the one to determine how your business is to be run.

So what I am getting at is that since it is going to be run your way then you might as well love the business that you are running. I hope that you have picked a sector that you enjoy. A business sector that you are enthusiastic about. If you have not then it will show through in everything that you do. You will not give it your all.

Think of it this way you are in a relationship with this business. If you love this business you will treat it better. You will want to spend more time with it. It will be more of a joy and less of a effort to conduct business each day.

Ask yourself do you love the online business that you have selected.
If you do then I have no real advice for you. If you do not love it then I would suggest that you do one of two things. Either learn to love it or find a new business model.

“But I have been at this for years. I have so much time and effort already invested.”
Sure you do, but can you see yourself spending the next ten or twenty years working on this business model. You may think that you are too old to change, but people have changed jobs and opening new businesses at all stages of their lives.

To love what you do is the heart of being a successful online business person. That love will translate into more effort. That love will translate in to time spent. That love will translate into profit. If you are the number one cheerleader for your online business then it can not help, but make an impression on customers.

Love what you do and your customers may grow to love it to.

Thank you for visiting. Please remember to add us to your google plus and to stumble us on stumbleupon.

Doing Business Online

Doing Online Business, On a Budget

Many of us decided to work online because we were not making enough money at our existing job or because we lost that job. Working online was meant to be a bridge while we sought another job.

For some of us it became a full time gig. We earn our entire income from what every business that we are into. Some of us started out on Ebay or Amazon. We learned the basics of selling online and we took it to the next level. That would be websites and or web pages of our own.

I have found that the biggest obstacle to starting an online business is financial. Many people are scared off by the cost involved. This advice is for the begins out there. You do not need money to start out. Money helps, it always helps, but you do not need it in the beginning. The truth about money is that until you learn the basics of what works and what does not work you will waste money hand over fist.

If you are on a zero budget I would suggest starting at a site like Squidoo or Blogger (Blogspot). At Squidoo I learned how to write articles. How to add media to them. I learned how to add links to Amazon and Ebay so that I could earn money from items mentioned in the articles that I wrote. It was a very important learning experience. I still try to do a article or as they call them a lens a month just to touch base.

From there I moved over here to Blogger. I have many blogs and there are many ways to monetize them. Many free ways to do this. One way is with Adsense. This is where Google puts up ads on your blog and if someone clicks on them you get anywhere between a penny to a few dollars depending on the ad. The second way is with Affiliate links. You put up your own affiliate ads. If people click on those ads and purchases something you get a commission. There are many sites that provide these services. There is Linkshare and Commision Junction and Share a Sale. They are all great to work with.

Next there is Clickbank. Many consider this the best money maker of all because it is free to sign up for. You are marketing digital products be they course or ebooks and you get to keep a huge share of each sale.
There are people out there who earn six figure incomes from clickbank.

“I don’t see any Clickbank items on your Blog.”

Yeah, I know. I just have not found the right ebook or course yet. If I am going to market something then I have to review it myself and believe in it. When I push a book I will have read it and believe that it is worth the money.

The other side of the Clickbank coin is that if you have fifty dollars to invest you can become a publisher and others will be the ones who market your book. You get to kick back and wait for the royalties to roll in. I would suggest that it is not the easy. If you wish to make real money as a publisher you will have to help market the product.

If fifty dollars is too much then you could always get a free ebook program or sign up with some of the pay as you go Ebook publishers.

There are sites that over thousands of digital products. Some have free trial if you can not afford the first months premium.

The bottom line is that there are many ways to get started if you have little or no money to work with. Being an online business person does not come with a price tag. There is not shame to starting with nothing. Some of the wealthiest people on earth started that way.

Anyone can spend a great deal of money. It is the ones who work hard and refuse to give up who succeed in the end.

I am going to do something for those of you who wish to start on a zero budget. Get yourself a Blogger blog and then sign up with Linkshare. You sign up for free. It is free for life. You picture your advertisers and get the ads for free. You put them up at your sites and get paid a commission when someone buys something from one of those ads. There are some advertiser who will pay you customers just sign up for a free trial.

Handling Failure

                You Are going to Fail

“Failure defeats losers, failure inspires winners.”-Robert T. Kiyosaki

Guys you are going to fail.

    Look to your heroes.

    Pick any sport.

Failure is part of the territory.

No one is perfect. No one hits the mark every single time. Only politicians and their delusional cults of personality believe that perfection can be achieved by a person.

The funny thing about failure is that there will be times when you make the right choice and it still does not work out. You had a good idea. You worked hard on it and for what ever reason it did not produce what you believed that it would. Worst than this is when someone else comes along a few weeks or months later with your same business concept and it works perfectly for them. Sometimes failure is just a matter of timing.

For what ever reason their will be attempts that do not make it. The public is funny sometimes they just don’t get it or it takes them too long to get it. Someone had the idea for a chain of coffee shops before Starbucks came along. Someone probably imagined a world populated with smart phones before Apple broke through.

Do you know the story of the movie It’s a Wonderful Life. The public did not take well to it during its first release. It took being shown time and time again on tv before it caught on. It was released during the summer (talk about bad timing). The scary thing is that there may be movies just as good that have never caught on, that never will catch on.

There are products that may change the world, but are gathering dust on a shelve somewhere because the one’s who created them gave in to failure.

Just because your business model did not work this time around does not mean that it or you are a failure. You are a failure when you give up. You are a failure when you stop trying.

“How many more times will I have to come up with a business model? How many more times will I have to find a new idea or take a new path?”

I do not know, but the one thing I know beyond any doubt is that if you accept failure then you will never succeed as a business person. Failure is a day in your life, failure is a page in your book and all you have to do is turn the page.

My final advice is that if you have failed recently take a breath. Go out and find some inspiration. Watch a movie or a sporting event. Get a book that will encourage you. Go find a magazine and read about people who are succeeding. It will help to remind you of a simple fact.

What one man can do another man can do.

Believe in your Business Model

                Believe In Your Business

You have to believe in your business model. You have to wake up each day with the confidence that your business is the type that will succeed. If you do not you either need to change your business model or ask yourself why are you projecting the fact that this business in not all that special.

“But I am not projecting that my business is not special.”

    Really?

If you are not projecting that it is special. That it is the best business of its kind on earth then I have to ask you a question.

    Why not?

Why aren’t you giving the impression to any and all who visit your site or your store front or who you talk to each day that your business is great. That it does what it does better than any business on earth. You are small, but so was Apple. You are small, but so was Walmart.

When you enter a room you make an impression. When you say hello you are making an impression. When you shake hands you are making an impression.

How does your business enter the room? How does it say hello? How does it meet and greet all those it comes in contact with?

    That impression will last.

Are you coming across as a professional or someone who does not have a clue?

    Be aware of this.

Find a way to make a great first impression. I believe this begins with the simple act of believing in your business model. That it will work out. That it is a well designed machine. That it can accomplish whatever it is called upon to do and if it can’t ask yourself why it can’t and fix it. It is your business you can do it. You can improve it a dozen ways each week. You can grow it and fine tune it until instead of you having to take care of it each day it will slowly and steadily begin to take care of you.

That is the dream isn’t? Your business taking care of you. Supporting you will you sleep, while you vacation, while you are off living the life that you dream of.

Okay, that is it for today. Remember to stumble us on stumbleupon and add us to your google plus.

Now it is time to get back to work.

The Better Online Business Person

                The Better Online Business Person

My goal is to become the best business person that I can. I believe that most of us share this goal. The better we become at the business that we are in then the more that business will return to us.

At the end of the day we measure the success of our businesses in the term of quality and profit.

If our business is not of the best of quality how do we improve it?

If our business is not generating profit, how do we grow it?

Let us tackle the profit angle first after all this is what I believe most of us are interested in. We can grow our profits first by selling more of what ever it is that we sell or market. We can also add new thing to the inventory of our businesses and or stores.

We sell more by reaching new customers and by getting our existing customers to come back to us again and again (that is where quality of service will play a part). We can reach new customers by expanding our marketing efforts. While to hold on to our existing customers and to turn them into recurring customers we must identify them and keep in touch with them.

This will involve social networking and developing email and address list. Getresponse AutoResponder

I spend the first four years of my life as an online marketer never even considering these factors. I had done business with thousands of customers and had not bothered to maintain a list of them. To keep in contact with them. In other words I had not bother to make these customers my customers. I had not developed relationships. Maybe this was because I am not very good at the social game. I spend hours a day in front of a computer screen because I am not a people person. I found out that this is not a handicap that I could not over come. I found a service that could add me in handling that part of things.
They could handle the social interaction for me so that I could continue to play to my strengths.

This site below is one such site that could help you do the same. If you feel that growing your business in the social media area is something you wish to look at you should at least pay them a visit. They have great trial offers. If not we will find a way to DIY it.

Okay that will be it for this first post. I hope to post again soon. Please add us to your google plus, stumble us on stumbleupon and tell a friend. Thank you for visiting. Now please get back to work.
